Substitute value of the y= equation into your other equation.
So:
4x + 2(-3x + 4) = 2
4x - 6x + 8 = 2
-2x = -6
x = 3
Then substitute in your found x value to get y
y = -3(3) + 4
y = -9 + 4
y = -5
