solve your system of equations.

n=8: (1/2)(m)+((−3)/4)(n)=16

Solve n=8 for n:

Substitute (8) for n in 1/2m+−3/4n=16:

1/2m+−3/4n=16

1/2m+−3/4(8)=16

1/2m−6=16(Simplify both sides of the equation)

1/2m−6+6=16+6(Add 6 to both sides)

1/2m=22

1/2m1/2 = 22 / 1/2(Divide both sides by 1/2)

m=44
