Atoms are microscopic particles that make up the universe, they can be divided, Molecules are made from atoms, molecules are indivisible. Most molecules form when atoms bond in a particular way, such as the chemical formula for water H2O meaning that two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom make a molecule. Both constitute small identifiable units.
